Stop Ragweed: National Call 2025 for Solutions to Combat Allergies in Romania

Between May and October 2025, as ragweed season impacts hundreds of thousands of Romanians, the Stop Ambroziei initiative launches a national contest inviting innovative ideas to tackle one of the country’s most pressing environmental and public health challenges.

With a prize of 10,000 lei, the competition encourages individuals, professionals, and creative thinkers to propose practical solutions that can help reduce the spread and effects of ragweed across Romania. From prevention methods and awareness campaigns to technological or community-driven approaches, every idea has the potential to make a real difference.

Participants have a limited time to submit their proposals and join a growing movement focused on improving quality of life during peak allergy months. As ragweed continues to affect urban and rural areas alike, the initiative highlights the importance of collective action and fresh thinking.
